Up And Down Mothing

There seems to be no logical reason for the constantly changing numbers of moths being drawn to the moth trap. This morning there were just 10 moths of 6 species, with one new for the year.

Granted we still have that brisk easterly wind and the temperature dropped into single figures last night, so maybe the wind does have a significant part to play!!
