Autumn Birds

It was a busy day in the back garden with weeding, pruning, moving stuff around, as you do, and all the time I was being watched by the "returning" male Robin singing in his Winter retreat.

Also noted was a Chiffchaff calling and a good view of a male Blackcap.

With the Blackcap about I grabbed some Bramley apples, cut them up, placed them on the picnic table and then set up the trail camera.

Hopefully, if it's still around I might have some videos of it feeding on the apples tomorrow.

A bit late I know, but yesterday evening a Great Spotted Woodpecker landed in the neighbours large Sycamore, where it appeared to remain as night set in.

And with it being very still, and dry this evening, I have switched the moth trap on, in the hope of catching something different, especially after what Portland Bird Observatory trapped this morning.
